Ok, Ladies and Gentlemen, check out this link:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070628/ap_on_re_eu/ireland_black_mayor
This is the story of a Nigerian, a native black African man, who has been elected mayor of a city in Northern Ireland. This is guaranteed to be a first in Irish social history. In short, the Irish are accepting a black man as a leader of one of their local governments. Even 50 years ago, say in 1957, this would have been unheard of. The local politic would not have stood for it. Now that we are in the 21st Century things are different. Very different.
This is just further testimony to the way that global media is homogenizing humankind.
This global media effect is causing all human beings to recognize and appreciate one another's sameness, rather than their differences. The human race is homogenizing.
Globalization marches onward...
