The New Cold War

    From the end of World War II until the advent of the Gorbachev/Yeltsin era in the Soviet Union, America was involved in a so-called “Cold War” with the Russian nation and their Soviet-block allies.
    During those years, all of our nations law enforcement authorities were ever vigilant to catch a communist Russian spy who was trying to infiltrate our nation to either steal technological secrets or facilitate sabotage.
    Today, we are faced with Islamic militants who are out to destroy us because we don’t believe in the same God they do.  Today, our nation’s law enforcers aren’t seeking well-dressed spies with Russian accents and KGB connections, they’re chasing people of Arabic descent who worship Mohammed and who have traveled to Afghanistan and Pakistan and may have possible connections to Osama Bin Laden.
    Despite this, Nancy Pelosi and Company says that this “War on Terror” is nothing more than organized fear tactics dreamed up by George Bush to waste our dollars and continue the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Pelosi and her minions hate George Bush more than they do the people who are trying to destroy us.
    Could you imagine that, during the years 1945-1991, some Democrat would publicly advocate ignoring the Russian menace by claiming the cold war was nothing more than a fantasy created by our president?
